SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN 
Pour 1 cup of buttermilk over chicken. Turn and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Combine: 2 tbsp. onion powder 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper

Coat chicken. Melt 2 tablespoons shortening in heavy fry pan or electric skillet. Brown skins side down. Turn, brown, and cook for 30 minutes. Drain on towels.
