MINI SHEATH CAKE 
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1 stick butter
4 tbsp. cocoa
6 tbsp. milk
1 box powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts

Sift together the flour, sugar, and salt. In a saucepan place butter, shortening, cocoa, and water. Bring to a rapid boil and pour over flour mixture. Stir well. Add, mixing by hand, remaining ingredients. Mix well. The batter will be thin. Pour it into a greased 16 x 11 inch pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

For the frosting, combine the butter, cocoa, and milk and bring them to a rapid boil. Remove from heat and add the rest. Mix and spread.
