MOM'S BEST REFRIGERATOR PICKLES 
7 c. cucumbers
1 c. sliced onions
1/2 c. green pepper thinly sliced
1 tbsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1 tbsp. celery seed

Mix well the cucumbers, onions, green pepper and salt. Let this stand for 1 hour, then drain well. (This is the secret to this recipe.) Mix together sugar, vinegar and celery seed, then stir in with cukes. Best if refrigerated 3 weeks before eating.
