FRESH CRANBERRY SAUCE
1 bag fresh cranberries
1 medium apple of your choice
1 medium to large orange
About 1 cup sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice (optional)

Hand pick through your cranberries because some of them will be crushed/discolored. The cranberries you want are firm, maybe a little soft but not mushy. I usually get 2 bags of cranberries because by the time you pick out the bad ones, you don't have a full bag anymore.

Put the cranberries in a large food processor. If you don't have one, you can do smaller batches in a blender. Peel your apple and chop into 1/2 inch pieces, so it's easier to blend. Peel and separate orange slices. Put this all in the food processor/blender and add lemon juice and sugar.

You can use however much sugar you want. It's up to you how sweet or tart you want it. Blend until there are no more large pieces. Taste and adjust ingredients as you desire. Can put in more of anything!

Refrigerate and serve cold. Best to make the day before so the sugars dissolve and the flavors blend thoroughly.
