SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
2 lbs. butternut squash
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 baking apples, cored and cut into 1/2 inch slices

Cut squash into halves; remove seeds and fibers. Pare squash. Cut into 1/2 inch slices.

Mix brown sugar, butter, flour and salt. Arrange squash in ungreased oblong baking dish. Top with apple slices. Sprinkle sugar mixture over top. Cover and cook in 350 degree oven until squash is tender, 50-60 minutes. 6 servings.
