HAMBURGER VEG SOUP | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 c. chopped onions 1 c. diced potatoes 1 c. diced carrots 1 c. diced celery 1 c. shredded cabbage 2 c. tomatoes 2 c. tomato juice 1/4 c. barley 4 beef bouillon cubes 4 c. water Salt & pepper to taste 1 bay leaf 1/4 tsp. basil 1/4 tsp. thyme Saute beef and onions until brown; drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour. If too thick, add more water. Can also add noodles or dumplings. |
