HEDDAS COOKIES 
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1 egg
1 tsp. almond extract
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. coconut, flaked

Cream sugar and shortening; add egg and almond extract; mix in flour and salt; stir in coconut. Place by teaspoonful on cookie sheet, flatten with fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes until slightly brown around edges.
