ANGELA'S EASY BAKED BEANS | |
This dish is not heart healthy but it is my sons absolute favorite and he demands it for all the main holidays. I am writing it down so he can learn how to cook it himself. 4 (11 oz. ea.) cans pork & beans (Campbell's) 1 lb. ground beef chuck 1 lb. bulk sausage 1 large onion, chopped 1 lb. bacon chopped in pieces 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 (18 oz.) bottle barbecue sauce (your favorite) Brown both meats together then drain. Sauté chopped onions until translucent. In a large casserole dish, dump all the ingredients and mix together good. Taste to see if it is seasoned right for you. Bake at 400°F for 30 minutes. Variation: If you want you can reserve 4 whole slices of bacon to place on the top while baking. Submitted by: Angela Herring |
