CIDER SIPPER 
1 qt. apple cider or apple juice
3 tbsp. honey
2 tbsp. lemon juice
4 whole cloves
1 whole nutmeg
1 (2 inch) piece stick cinnamon
1/4 to 1/3 c. Brandy (optional)

In medium saucepan, combine apple cider or apple juice, honey, and lemon juice. For spice bag, place the cloves, nutmeg, and cinnamon in a double thickness of cheesecloth. Bring up the corners of the cheesecloth and tie cheesecloth with a string. Add spice bag to cider mixture. Cover and heat through, but do not boil. Remove spice bag and discard. Stir in brandy. Serve the warm cider in mugs with cinnamon stick stirrers and lemon slices. Makes six 6 ounce servings.
