SCALLOPED CABBAGE WITH CHEESE | |
Combine: 2 tbsp. butter 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper Cook until thick. Add 1/2 pound shredded cheese. Beat until smooth. Butter a baking dish. Cook cabbage (2 cups) in boiling water for 7 minutes. Put cabbage and sauce in layers. Finish with sauce and sprinkle with some grated cheese (1/4 cup). Bake in oven 400 degrees until brown. (Cauliflower may be substituted for the cabbage.) |
