GRANDMA'S YEAST BISCUITS 
2 c. sweet milk
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 pkg. yeast
3/4 c. water

Scald milk, sugar and shortening. Let cool, then add yeast dissolved in warm water. Add enough flour to make a soft dough. Let rise until doubled--then add baking powder and salt. Add enough flour so you can handle the dough. Roll out and cut with a biscuit cutter. Put in greased pan. Let rise and bake.
