JANET'S FROZEN YEAST BISCUITS | |
5 c. flour 2 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tbsp. baking powder 1 pkg. yeast 2 tbsp. water 3/4 c. shortening 2 c. buttermilk Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Soften yeast in water then add flour mixture along with enough milk to make a soft dough. Stir to mix, turn out and knead 60 seconds. Put out to desired thickness and cut biscuits. Freeze in single layer, then store in freezer bag. To bake, thaw and let rise. Bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. |
