CORN OYSTERS | |
1 1/2 c. corn shaved from cob 1 egg beaten 4 tbsp. flour 2 tbsp. milk 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. fat for frying (butter, bacon or oil) Combine all ingredients except fat; mix well. Drop by tablespoons into hot fat. Cook on each side for 3 to 4 minutes or until browned. Keep warm until all are cooked and serve hot. Honey, maple syrup or just butter, may be used as topping. These are excellent served with chicken, pork or veal. Drained can corn or frozen corn can be substituted for the fresh corn. |
