CINNAMON SENSATION BREAD | |
2 tbsp. butter, softened 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 egg, beaten 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup milk CINNAMON TOPPING: 1 cup brown sugar 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter, softened 3/4 tsp. cinnamon Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, blend butter and sugar; stir in egg. Add flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk; mix well. Pour batter into a greased 8x8-inch baking pan: sprinkle with cinnamon topping. Bake at 375°F for 30 to 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center tests clean. Cut into squares.
