CRUMB - TOPPED BUTTER CAKE | |
2 c. flour 1 1/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 c. milk 1/2 c. butter, softened 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened TOPPING: 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 c. butter Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (not oil) bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan. In large bowl, blend all cake ingredients at low speed until moistened. Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan. In small bowl, combine topping ingredients until crumbly; sprinkle over batter. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. |
