APRICOT BREAD 
1 c. dried apricots
1/2 c. water

Cut up and soak in water while preparing rest of batter.

1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Mix all ingredients together. Add apricots last. Place in bread pan. MUST STAND 20 MINUTES prior to baking.

Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.

Serve with Apricot Butter:

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. apricot preserves

Beat until light and fluffy.
