ARGENTINEAN BEEF SAUTE | |
1 lb. lean ground beef 3 med. onions, chopped coarse 1 lg. green pepper, diced 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. basil 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. each sugar and oregano 1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper 3 lg. cloves garlic, crushed 2 tbsp. chopped parsley 1 sm. can red kidney beans, drained (reserve liquid from beans) 1 sm. can golden hominy (drained) Can use corn instead of hominy In large skillet over medium heat brown beef. Add onions and green pepper; saute. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender. Stir in spices, beans and hominy or corn. Simmer uncovered. Gradually add about 1/4 cup bean liquid. Cook about 10 minutes or until flavors are blended. |
