“STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD” IS IN:

STRAWBERRY PRETZEL SALAD 
Be sure all 3 layers are completely cooled before adding next layer. This can be served as a salad or a dessert.

LAYER 1:

2 cups crushed pretzels
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) melted butter
3 tbsp. sugar

Mix crushed pretzels, butter and sugar together and pour into a 9x13-inch pan. Press into the bottom and bake at 400°F for 10 minutes. Let cool completely.

LAYER 2:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 large tub Cool Whip

Beat cream cheese with sugar. Stir into Cool Whip. Spread on completely cooled pretzel crust being careful to completely seal the pretzel layer.

LAYER 3:

1 (6 oz.) box strawberry gelatin (family size)
2 cups boiling water
2 (10 oz. ea.) pkgs. frozen strawberries, including juice

Mix together strawberry gelatin, boiling water and add the frozen strawberries. Place in refrigerator until jello starts to set.

After the cream cheese layer is completely chilled and the jello is starting to thicken, spread jello slowly over the cream cheese layer.

Let set in refrigerator overnight.
