NEVER-FAIL PIE CRUST | |
3 c. flour 1 1/4 c. shortening 1 egg 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. vinegar 1/4 c. ice water In large bowl cut together flour and shortening with 2 knives or a pastry cutter until mixture resembles coarse meal. In separate bowl combine egg, sugar, vinegar, and water. Mix lightly into flour mixture until dough holds its shape. Refrigerate until ready to use. |
