CHOCOLATE TOWN PIE 
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla extract or 2 tbsp. bourbon
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. pecans or walnuts

Prepare pastry shell. Set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small mixer bowl, cream butter. Add eggs and vanilla or bourbon. Combine sugar and flour. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until golden. Cool about 1 hour. Garnish with whipped cream, if desired.
