MOCHA POUND CAKE 
2/3 c. shortening
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. coffee
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
2 oz. cocoa

Mix shortening, flour, sugar, coffee, salt, cream of tartar, baking soda, water and vanilla, then beat well for 2 minutes. Add eggs and cocoa; beat 1 minute longer. Pour into greased loaf pans. Bake at 325 degrees for 65-70 minutes until done. You can sprinkle powdered sugar on top if you wish.
