STRAWBERRY SQUARES 
1 c. flour, sifted
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. butter, melted

Mix the above and spread evenly into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring 3 or 4 times. Sprinkle 2/3 of crumbs into a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan and set aside while preparing filling.

FILLING:

2 egg whites
2/3 c. sugar
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries, partially thawed
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. whipping cream

Combine the egg whites, sugar, berries, lemon juice and salt in a large bowl. Beat at high speed until stiff peaks form (10 to 12 minutes). Whip cream and fold in. Spoon over crumbs in pan and sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Freeze. Cut in squares and serve with whipped cream.
