2 c. milk
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

In double boiler combine cornstarch, sugar and salt with beaten egg. Add milk and stir. Cook over hot water and stir often until thick. Add vanilla last.
