SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
2 lg. pieces (about 2 lb.) banana squash (cut & peeled)
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. melted butter
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 baking apples (peeled & sliced into 1/2" slices)

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut squash into 1/2 inch slices, the same size as apple slices. Stir together remaining ingredients, except apple slices. Arrange squash in ungreased baking dish, 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches. Top with apple slices and sprinkle sugar mixture over top. Cinnamon and nutmeg may be added to sugar mixture if desired (also raisins). Cover with foil and bake 50-60 minutes or until squash is tender. Serves 6.
