MICROWAVE BAKED APPLES 
4 large baking apples
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
2 tbsp. raisins or chopped nuts
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. butter, cut into 4 chunks

Core apples and peel skin from top. In small dish, combine brown sugar, raisins, and cinnamon. Stuff apples with equal amount of mixture. Dot top of each apple with 1 chunk of butter. Arrange apples in 9 inch square baking dish. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH for 7 to 9 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes. Just before serving, spoon juices from bottom of baking dish over apples.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
