CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. cake flour
1 c. milk
5 heaping tbsp. cocoa
5 whole eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 lb. Crisco (1 cup)
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Sift dry ingredients; add alternating with milk. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

CAKE - FROSTING FOR CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE:

4 tbsp. butter
3 sqs. baking chocolate
1/3 c. hot milk
3 c. sifted confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt butter and chocolate, stir in hot milk, mix. Add vanilla, salt and confectioners sugar. Mix well.
