2 c. sugar
1 c. butter or Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. top milk (or cream)
2 eggs

Add enough plain flour to make a stiff dough -- enough to roll out and cut. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
