MAMA'S CRANBERRY CAKE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 c. plain flour
1 c. cranberry sauce (whole berry)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
4 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift flour with spices and add with buttermilk to which soda has been added. Fold in cranberry sauce. Pour into greased and floured bundt pan. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.

FROSTING:

Cream 6 tbsp. butter. Add 2 teaspoons orange rind and 1/4 teaspoons salt. Add 1 box powdered sugar with 5 tablespoons cranberry sauce (whole berry). Beat until light and fluffy. Frost cake, slice and enjoy! Very old recipe.
