ORANGE CRANBERRY TORTE CAKE 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. fresh cranberries
1 grated orange rind
2 beaten eggs
1 c. buttermilk
3/4 c. Crisco oil

Mix dry ingredients then mix in oil, eggs and milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Place on rack and let cool for 5 minutes then frost.

FROSTING:

1 c. frozen orange juice, diluted
1 c. sugar

Pour over cake slowly.
