HAMBURGER HASH BROWN HOTDISH 
4 c. hash browns (or enough to cover bottom of pan)
1 lb. hamburger
1 med. onion, chopped
Salt (to taste)
Pepper (to taste)
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen green peas, thawed (or 1 [16 oz.] can green peas)
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. milk
6 to 8 slices American cheese
1 (3 oz.) can French fried onions

Grease 9 x 13-inch pan. Cover bottom of pan with hash browns. Brown hamburger and onion in frying pan. Drain fat and place hamburger and onion on top of hash browns. Salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle peas over hamburger. Mix cream of mushroom soup with milk. Pour over mixture in pan. Place cheese on top. Cover pan with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove foil and sprinkle French fried onions on top. Return to oven with heat off for 15 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.

Wow this recipe was so good!! Will definitely make again and also recommend to family and friends. I revised a little by using cream of chicken soup and also put in a can of whole kernel corn. Also did not have American cheese so used Velveeta. Absolutely delicious!! Fast, easy and yummy--what more could you want in a recipe??
