LORRAINE'S EASY HAMBURGER HASH
BROWNS
 
1 bag frozen hash browns, thawed
3 tbsp. oil
1 pkg. of brown gravy mix
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. of hamburger
1 sm. can french fried onions
Shredded cheddar cheese

Brown hamburger meat and drain. Add 1 package of gravy mix and 1 cup of water. Simmer 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup grated cheese. Crumble 1/2 can of onions over hamburger, then stir and simmer 10 minutes. Meanwhile, place 3 tablespoons of oil in large baking dish (13 x 9), salt and pepper and hash browns. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Spread the hamburger mixture over the hash browns. Bake for 20 minutes. Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheese (more, if desired) and 1/2 can of the remaining onions on top. Bake a few minutes more to melt the cheese on top.
