KIELBASA--SKILLET DINNER | |
1 lb. kielbasa, cut in 1 1/2 inch pieces 1 lb. med. red skinned potatoes (about 4 scrubbed and cut in bite-size pieces) 1/2 c. water 2 med. apples, quartered and cored, cut in thin wedges 1/4 c. packed brown sugar 1 lb. sauerkraut, drained (to reduce saltiness, rinse sauerkraut before using) Lightly brown kielbasa in large, deep skillet on medium heat. Add potatoes and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover tightly and simmer, stirring occasionally. Add water, if necessary. Simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook over low heat 10 to 15 minutes until sauerkraut is hot and potatoes and apples are tender. |
