1 1/2 lb. hamburger 1/2 lb. pork sausage 3/4 c. rice 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Chopped onion to taste Cabbage Small bag or can sauerkraut 1/2 c. vinegar, optional Boil cabbage leaves until soft, reserve water; cool. Combine all other ingredients except sauerkraut. Form into balls and roll into cabbage leaves. Place sauerkraut in bottom of kettle. Lay cabbage rolls on top and pour cabbage water over them, with vinegar, to cover. Cook on low heat, covered, 2-3 hours or until done. |
