TEXAS SHEET CAKE 
Measure and set aside:

PART 1:

2 c. flour
2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

PART 2:

In a large saucepan, bring to a boil:

2 sticks butter
1 c. water
4 tbsp. cocoa

PART 3:

In a large mixing bowl, beat together:

2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. white vinegar

Blend first mixture into last mixture. Then, slowly add second mixture. Be careful! Batter will be hot. Pour into ungreased 12 x 18 inch sheet pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes until tested done.

While cake is baking, make frosting:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. milk
4 tbsp. cocoa

Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and stir in a 1 lb. box of confectioners' sugar until mixture is smooth. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Pour and spread the frosting over the cake, right out of the oven. Let cool.
