CRISP PASTEL COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 pkg. (3 oz.) fruit flavored gelatin (any flavor)
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)

Combine butter, sugar and gelatin; beat until light and fluffy; add eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture.

Roll dough into 3/4 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet; flatten each with bottom of glass dipped in sugar. Bake in a hot oven at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
