OATMEAL CRISP COOKIES | |
1 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs, beaten 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 3 c. quick cooking oats 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (opt.) Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients, oats and nuts. Mix. Form in long rolls and wrap in waxed paper and freeze. Slice 1/4" thick and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. |
