ANGEL CRISP COOKIES 
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. butter (better than butter)
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sifted white flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg beaten with
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt

Soften butter. Add to sugar. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture. Add egg with vanilla. Beat all well. Drop by tsp. on a well greased cookie sheet. Make any size desired. Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Watch carefully as they burn easily. Do NOT overcook, as they crisp up after being taken from the oven. Makes 70 cookies.
