SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 sm. clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. shortening
1 can Campbell's golden mushroom soup
1/2 c. drained tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. soy sauce
Dash of pepper
Cooked rice

Mix beef, crumbs, onion, egg and garlic. Shape into 16 meatballs. In skillet, brown meatballs in shortening, pour off fat. Add remaining ingredients except rice. Cover, cook over low heat 20 minutes or until done. Stir occasionally. Serve with rice. Makes about 3 1/2 cups.
