FUDGE 
2 1/4 cups sugar
8 1/2 oz. evaporated milk
pinch of salt
1/4 lb. butter
2 1/2 cups chocolate chips (2/3 of it semi-sweet, 1/3 milk chocolate
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tbsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, evaporated milk, and dash of salt in saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 12 minutes, timing after mixture comes to a full boil.

Meanwhile, place cut up butter, chocolate chips, nuts, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.

After syrup has cooked, pour it over the chocolate-butter mixture. Beat until it begins to lose its gloss and the mixture starts to become dull.

Pour into buttered 8 x 8" pan. Chill.

Makes 36 Servings.
