CLAFOUTIS 
4 eggs
2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 (15 oz.) cans dark sweet cherries, pitted and drained

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs, milk, flour, sugar and flavoring until smooth with hand beater. Spread cherries in oblong 9 x 13-inch greased dish. Pour batter over cherries. Bake uncovered until puffed and golden brown, 45-60 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve warm. Serves 12.
