OATMEAL COCOA CHIPPERS | |
1 1/4 c. flour 1/2 c. baking cocoa (Hershey's or Nestle) 12 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. butter, softened 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 c. granulated sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 eggs 2 c. oatmeal 2 tbsp. baking soda 1 c. walnuts, chopped Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, oatmeal, and walnuts. Drop by slightly rounded measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes for chewy cookies, 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies. Let stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. Makes 4 dozen. |
