1/2 c. baking cocoa (Hershey's or Nestle)
12 oz. pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips

1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 c. oatmeal

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; set aside. In large mixing bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, oatmeal, and walnuts. Drop by slightly rounded measuring tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9 to 11 minutes for chewy cookies, 12 to 13 minutes for crisp cookies.
