DIET - APPLE PIE | |
4 to 5 c. cooking apples, peeled and sliced 1 (12 oz.) can frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 (9 inch) pie crust, unbaked Mix cornstarch and half of the apple juice concentrate. Combine apples, cinnamon, and remaining juice concentrate, and the cornstarch mixture in a large saucepan; cover and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and sauce is thickened (about 10 to 15 minutes). Pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes. |
