BUTTERSCOTCH BROWNIES 
4 tbsp. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

In medium saucepan, melt butter; stir in brown sugar. Cool slightly. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into brown sugar mixture along with the nuts; mix thoroughly. Spread in greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
