PORK CHOPS WITH SAUERKRAUT 
6 to 8 pork chops, center cut
2 lbs. sauerkraut
Tomato paste, paprika or caraway seeds
2 c. water
Salt & pepper to taste

In skillet brown pork chops well. Put sauerkraut in a casserole. When chops are brown, drain drippings into sauerkraut. Add the tomato paste, paprika or caraway seeds. Place chops on top of sauerkraut and add water and salt and pepper. Cover and simmer for about 1 hour or until chops are very tender. This casserole may be baked in the oven if desired. 4 to 6 servings.
