MA'S SCHAUM TORTE | |
6 whites of eggs 2 c. granulated sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. vinegar Beat eggs with flat wire spoon until stiff enough to hold up in peaks, then beat in 2 tablespoons sugar at a time, 3 times, beating thoroughly after each addition, add vanilla, vinegar and fold in rest of the sugar. Grease a spring form and pour in it 2/3 of the mixture. Make small kisses dropped from a teaspoon with the rest of the mixture and form a circle on a tin, same size and shape as spring form. Bake an hour or longer in a slow oven, 300 degrees. Fill with whipped cream and berries or ice cream and decorate top with the circle of baked kisses. This is the best of the best desserts! |
