3/4 c. butter
2 eggs, beaten
3 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. milk
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture. Add milk and vanilla; mix well. Roll dough to 1/8-inch; cut cookies.

Fill with favorite filling, pinching the top and bottom cookies together well. Brush tops with egg whites or sugar glaze. Bake at 400 degrees until done, 10-12 minutes.
