HEAVENLY CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
2 boxes Nabisco Famous chocolate wafers
3 (1/2 pt.) heavy whipping cream (1 c. each)
12 tsp. sugar

Whip cream and sugar in large mixing bowl until cream gets stiff, about 5-8 minutes. Put together cookies in layers.

1st Layer: Chocolate wafer. Top with thick layer of filling.

2nd Layer: Chocolate wafer. Top with thick layer of filling.

3rd Layer: Chocolate wafer. Top with thick layer of filling.

Refrigerate cookies 4-6 hours or overnight before serving. Keep refrigerated. Cookies don't keep well. After one day they get very soggy.

Makes about 30.

Note: To whip cream, add 2 teaspoons sugar per 1/2 cup of cream. Recipe can be added to or cut. One box of wafers makes about 15 cookies (45 wafers per box) and a 1/2 pint of heavy cream makes about 10 cookies depending on how thick you make the cream filling on each layer.

My mother made these for us when I was young. I have never been able to find the wafers in AL where I live. I was in a "Big Lots" on Saturday and found the wafers. I was so excited, I just stood there holding the box. I can't wait to make these.
