1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 cup cream, OR 1/4 cup shortening & enough milk to roll like biscuit dough
4 or 5 apples
1/4 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Slice apples into pie plate, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, spread dough over apples. Bake in hot oven 25 minutes. Turn upside down onto plate with apples up, stir a little more sugar and cinnamon into apple with fork.

Serve hot or cool with whipped cream sweetened. Dust top with cinnamon and chopped nuts.
