MA'S RUM CAKE 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1/2 c. oil
2/3 c. water
1/2 c. white rum
4 eggs

GLAZE:

1 tbsp. grated orange rind
1/3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. water
2 tbsp. light rum

1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Grease and flour tube cake pan.

3. Combine cake mix, pudding, oil, 2/3 cup water, 4 eggs and 1/3 cup rum.

4. Beat at low speed 1 minute.

5. Beat at medium speed 4 minutes.

6. Turn into prepared pan.

7. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.

8. Cool in pan 10 minutes, then cool on rack.

GLAZE:

1. Combine above ingredients in saucepan, simmer 5 minutes.

2. Brush warm glaze over cake 2 to 3 times.

3. Let cool, wrap tightly (very good if put away at least 5 days before serving!)
