CHEESY HASH BROWN CASSEROLE 
32 oz. frozen hash browns
1/2 stick butter
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. Cheese Whiz
1 can cream chicken soup
2 c. crushed corn flakes

Mix all ingredients except butter and corn flakes. Pour hash browns into a 9 x 13 baking dish. (Spray dish with Pam or other nonstick coating first.) Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Melt butter and mix with corn flakes and sprinkle over top of potatoes. Bake 15 minutes longer. You may mix bacon bits into casserole if desired, before baking.

When I make this recipe, I use my own grated cheese rather than Cheese Whiz, I substitute cream of celery soup for the chicken & eliminate the onion. This recipe is a family favorite & can be made for any meal.
